About the Role
Join our dynamic team at Homecrest Community Services, a nonprofit organization committed
to fostering a positive impact on the community. We are currently seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our Information Technology Team as an IT Intern. As an intern, you will have the chance to work closely with our IT Specialist, gaining valuable insights into the management of diverse office infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the IT Specialist to provide technical support to end-users.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both hardware and software.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving processes for IT issues.
• Work with IT specialists to gain hands-on experience in managing office infrastructures.
• Contribute to ongoing IT projects and initiatives.
Duration:
This is a 6-months internship position, offering the potential for extension based on outstanding
performance and alignment with organizational needs. As an IT Intern, you will have the chance
to grow your skills, contribute meaningfully to our IT operations, and make a positive impact on
our community-focused initiatives. A stipend will be provided as well for your work.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Possess a foundational understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
Familiarity with Windows OS and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to effectively address IT challenges.
Display eagerness to learn and adapt within a dynamic and fast-paced IT environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a collaborative work environment.
Minimum 3.2 GPA preferred, but not the sole determinant in the hiring process. We consider various factors such as relevant experience, soft skills, adaptability, initiative, certifications, etc.
Fluency in multiple languages (bi-lingual) can be a plus.

provide community-based, multi-social services for older adults and immigrant families living in
Southern Brooklyn. Our mission is to help the Asian American immigrant community and other
disadvantaged persons to thrive through advocacy, civic engagement, and collaborating in partnerships.
