HCS Seniors Celebrate Thanksgiving With Gratitude

HCS seniors from both our Bensonhurst and Sheepshead Bay' community senior centers gathered in large numbers for a huge Thanksgiving celebration. Seniors reflected on what they were thankful for by writing on our turkey board messages of thanks. Many were thankful for the center and for all the staff. They loved having all the great programs and services and are thankful for the friendships they've made and for each day.

HCS music choir performed several songs including a Chinese version of "Amazing Grace" and an English song, "You Raised Me Up". They lit up the room with their amazing voices.

Special thanks to all our elected officials including New York State Senator Golden, Assemblyman Abbate, Assemblyman Colton, City Council member Deutsch, City Council member Treyger, District leader of the 47th District, Nancy Tong and our friends from the local pharmacy, True Care and Health First for stopping by and bringing turkeys and gifts which were raffled off to the seniors.
